In times of need he needs to advise customers on menu and wine choice. Seeing the requirements he is also responsible for recruiting, training and motivating staff. His work profile also includes organizing and supervising the shifts of kitchen, waiters and cleaning staff.
The restaurant manager is also responsible for Housekeeping activities like maintaining high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety. He needs to regularly check stock levels and order supplies as per the requirements. He also has to prepare cash drawers and providing petty cash as required and also help in any area of the restaurant when circumstances dictate.
