Every industry needs a sound quality department that will make sure that the production process and the products are seen through stringent quality measures thus making them 100% quality oriented. Quality Control executive is an important part of Quality department. His job profile includes important duties of being a part of the quality process and giving analysis reports to production department. He/she has to inspect incoming raw material as well as inspect outgoing raw material. He/she also has to keep an eye on the maintenance of company?s all relevant equipments.
He/she also has to witness and sentence all inspections within their disciplines and coordinate those inspections with the production or manufacturing division.
QC Executive must also ensure that all inspection reports are accurate and that all attached documents are valid with current status. It is also to be seen that all work is correctly prepared prior to any inspection being undertaken. He/she also must review all inspection reports for compliance in the organization, maintenance and control of the quality system
The QC executive must also work in coordination with manufacturing or production engineers and provide assistance to them when required. He/she should also prepare nonconformance reports to the QA manager and assist in developing corrective actions. The executive should also assist the QC manager and production manager in resolving any discrepancies and ambiguities in the quality of products. Some of the other key responsibilities of a QC executive are:
? Coordination with the customers and QC inspectors for the resolution of quality problems
? Coordinating with the responsible incumbents to ensure that effective communications is maintained
? Attending the weekly QC meetings
? Reviewing work procedures and method statements for compliance with good work practices and the quality specializations
? The issuance of nonconformance reports in conjunction with the site QC manager
? The completion of QC instructions and coordinating their implementations
? The reviewing of inspection test packages during the course of manufacturing/production activities
